Special Services

bikebusimage006 Bus Show & Tell
If you or anyone you know is interested in what goes on "behind the scenes" at the bus company, please contact ECT at (715) 839-5111 or TTY 711.  We'll come out and speak to your group and even bring a bus! Tours of the shop and bus washer are available. Our presentations can be tailored to any age group and are designed to be educational and fun.

Rack N' Roll Program
ECT buses feature bike racks!  The bike racks are quick and easy to use.  Each rack can accommodate two bicycles.  There is no additional cost to use the racks.

For safety purposes, before getting on and off the bus, inform your driver you have a bike on board.  Also, the bus driver cannot get off the bus to assist you in loading or unloading your bike.

Passengers living in the Cities of Eau Claire and Altoona must have a disability that prevents them from accessing or navigating the city bus.  Cost per ride is $3.00.

Transit Watch
If you spot an unattended package, look for the following:

  • Placement in an out-of-the-way location
  • Individuals in the act of abandoning a package and hastily departing the area
  • Unusual attached batteries, wires, tanks, bottle or bags that might contain chemicals
  • An attached message
  • A suspicious cloud, mist, gas, vapor, order or seeping fluid
  • Nearby individuals showing signs of illness or distress

If you spot any suspicious individuals engaged in questionable activity, look for the following:

  • Visible signs of nervousness
  • Excessive sweating
  • Sprayer bottles or aerosol canisters
  • Inappropriate clothing that is excessively baggy or too heavy in warm weather

Do not confront suspicious individuals! Contact a transit employee, security guard or the police immediately.  In the event of a suspicious package, do not use a cellular phone until you are a safe distance away.

Let's count on each other for a safe ride!
