Whiteway lighting, generally found along major arterials and in commercial areas, is maintained by a private firm under contract with the City of Eau Claire. The lights are generally mounted on a metal pole. Comments or concerns regarding these fixtures should be directed to Buildings and Grounds at 839-4963.

Reports of nonfunctioning lights, commonly found in residential areas, which are mounted on a wooden pole, should be directed to Xcel Energy at 1-800-628-2121.

All requests for new street lights should be directed to the Traffic Engineer at 839-4934.
