Skating Rink Special Events

Winter after Hours (In Association with Volume One)
The Eau Claire Parks and Recreation Department along with Volume One will again be presenting "WinterAfter Hours" at Boyd Park on Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 PM. This program will begin onJanuary 19, and will conclude on February 23. There will beice skating, snow shoeing, winter kubb, a fire pit, music, and hot drinks. Snowshoe and skate rentals will be availableduring thespecial event only. The warming house and restrooms will be open and supervised. Hundreds of people enjoyed this unique social gathering each Thursday night in 2011. We hope you can join in on the family fun at Boyd duringthis season!

Come Slide with Us (An afternoon of sledding fun at Pinehurst)
An afternoon of supervised sledding fun at Pinehurst. We provide the hill, roaring fire to warm up next to, music, and a cup of hot chocolate. All activities will be supervised by our dedicated skating rink supervisors. Sundays, January 15 and February 12. 1:00-4:00 PM.

Hot Cocoa Sundays
Free hot cocoa and family fun is provided inside the warming house at all four rinks every Sunday! We simply provide the Rink Supervisor with a means to heat the water and serve a cup of hot cocoa to each participant. Board games and coloring books will be left out on the tables to encourage participants to hand out a little bit longer at the rink. A simple craft may also be an option.

Come and Play Days
An afternoon of games and activities at all four rink locations. December 27-31 between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Come and go as you please! Join our rink staff as they lead children in skating races and relays as well as board games and crafts in the warming house!
