Foodborne Illness Investigations

Environmental Health Specialists conduct food-borne illness investigations for such diseases as E.coli O157:H7, salmonellosis, Norvovirus. Outbreaks may be caused by food served in public restaurants or private gatherings. Food-borne diseases detected by physicians are reported to the public health department. Individuals who feel they have become ill following food consumption may contact the Health Department.
