A Sanitary permit is needed before County Building Permits, County Land Use Permits or Town Building Permits can be issued. This is a Wisconsin State Statute requirement.County Building and/or Land Use Permits are required:

- Building a New Home
- Additions to New or Existing Home
- Altering Structures
- Commercial Permits (e.g. Restaurant or Business)

- Brunswick, Drammen, Washington, Pleasant Valley, Clear Creek, Ludington, Fairchild, Otter Creek, Wilson, Lincoln, Seymour and Bridge Creek.
- They are obtained from the County Planning and Development Department, (715) 839-4741
- Town Building Permits are also required in

Installation Information
- Sanitary systems may only be installed or repaired by licensed master plumbers and master plumbers-restricted service.
- Soil tests are valid only if performed by a certified soil tester. Contractors providing these services may be found in the telephone book. A list of plumbers and soil testers providing services in the Eau Claire area is available from the Health Department (contact us).
