Purpose/Goals
To assure that the public is adequately protected from injury or the spread of disease when using or occupying massage therapy facilities.Program Description
License and inspect above-noted facilities for overall safety and sanitary conditions. Enforce local regulations governing these facilities. Provide consultation to facility operators and the public on preventing health and safety hazards with operating or using these facilities.Massage parlors must be inspected at least annually by the Health Department. The physical facilities; such as toilet rooms, square footage, lighting, furnishings, linens and clothing, are inspected by this Department. Massage therapists are licensed and regulated through the State of Wisconsin.
