The Eau Claire Police Department's Field Training Program involves a minimum of 15 weeks of in-the-field experience.  This assures exposure to the multiple responsibilities required of a police officer.  The Police Training Program is designed to provide:

• A systematic approach to the in-the-field learning experiences
• Consistent and standardized learning
• The means of developing your ability to perform the tasks necessary for competent operation of a solo patrol officer assignment

An introduction to all areas of a police officer's role and its responsibilities and the opportunity to learn from a PTO who will assist you in learning the Eau Claire Police Department's procedures.
