Accidents & Other Police Reports 

You may make a request for a copy of a police department incident report either in person at the front desk of the police department or by mail addressed to Eau Claire Police Department Records, PO Box 496, Eau Claire, WI 54702-0496. There is a fee charged for this service and cost varies depending upon the length of the report. You may obtain additional information regarding this service by calling the records section at 715-839-4984.

The Eau Claire Police Department has now made most accident reports available through the Internet*. If you need a copy of an accident report, please go to http://www.policereports.us/ and follow the appropriate link for our department. From our search page, you will be able to search for your report, view it and print it in the convenience of your home or office. The fee for this service is $4.00 per report request. You can pay for your reports through this secure site with a credit card or you may contact PoliceReports.US at 800-489-0190 to see if you qualify for a prepaid account. Although this is now our preferred method of accident report distribution, you may still request a copy of your report by phone and/or mail directly from the records section. Should you have any questions regarding this new service, please feel free to contact our department at 715-831-4103. *Accident reports involving criminal charges and/or having additional officer narratives will not be posted to the PoliceReports.US website and will need to be requested directly from our department.
