The Eau Claire Police Department Investigations and Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) consist of Investigators and the Community Outreach Section. Within this division there are 16 full-time investigators, 5 detective supervisors, 1 PSB Lieutenant, 2 Public Information Officers, 1 Crime Analyst, 1 Training Technician, and a part time Hmong Community Relations Officer. Our investigators are assigned to one five sections:
- General Crimes Section
- Financial Crimes Section
- Child Services Section
- Chippewa Valley Regional Computer Forensics Lab
- West Central Drug Task Force
The Community Outreach Section is responsible for many department functions including: drafting and updating department policies, public and media information, social media, community presentations, tracking and mapping crime data, scheduling and organizing training and creating and maintaining community partnerships.
