LANDMARKS COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP
The Landmarks Commission consists of 7 members:
- 1 registered architect
- 1 historian qualified in the field of historic preservation
- 1 licensed real estate broker or salesperson
- 1 City Council member
- 3 citizen members
APPOINTED BY
The City Council.
TERM
Three years.
MEETINGS
The Landmarks Commission meets the first Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. DUTIES:
The Commission shall have the power, subject to provisions of section 2.65.050 of the City ordinances to designate landmarks, landmark sites and historic districts within the city limits. They shall also regulate construction, reconstruction and exterior alteration to landmarks, landmark sites, and structures within historic districts. Decisions made by the Landmarks Commission may be appealed to the City Council. For more information, please contact the Planning Department at (715) 839-4914.
